PRAIRIE WORKS ART
Prairie Works Art
Over 38 years ago, after graduating from Pretty Prairie High School, Liz Shepherd went on to study art. She had a dream to have a place to create art that would be available to share what she knew with others and more importantly, to share the creative space with others who could teach her.
Spring 2018, that dream came to life. Prairie Works Art was opened. A creative space in the new Graber Mercantile & Event Emporium located at 115 W Main Street in Pretty Prairie, KS.
She has begun a schedule of classes and events at Prairie Works Art. Currently acrylic pour classes are being taught to individuals, parties and large groups.
In the Gallery, special exhibits created by artists from across the US are being booked.
Currently, through October, Dave Weese, a Texas artists' work is being featured.

WHAT WE ENVISION
Bringing Artists Together
Our current show is by Texas artist Dave Weese. This exhibit runs through October and all pieces are for sale.
He uses a wide range of mediums: acrylic, glitters, recycled and upcycled materials, resin and liquid glass.
At Prairie Works Art, we understand the importance of support in an artist’s life. Our goal at Prairie Works Art is to serve as an educational branch and support system for all artists, young and old, who visit our Art Studio by being a special place where their creative juices can flow freely. We’re dedicated to all artists, and we provide them with the appropriate training and tools they need to succeed. It’s our mission to ensure that the arts remain strong, and to offer classes to students of all levels - introducing newcomers to art and creativity, and refining the techniques of even the most veteran artists as we bring instructors from across the country to share their talent.
